Inviting your friends to a party is not always...
Try your hand at creating this pork and tofu burger patty, bathed in a sweet tomato-based sauce with sliced mushrooms.
|3/4 cup||White Bread||(diced)|
|1 tbsp||Evaporated Milk|
|1/2 cup||Ground Pork|
|1/3 cup||Tokwa||(cut into small squares)|
|1/2 tbsp||Black Pepper|
|2 tbsps||Cooking Oil||(for pan-grilling)|
|2 tbsp||Cooking Oil||(for sauteing)|
|1/2 tbsp||Button Mushrooms||(sliced)|
|1 1/4 tsp||Brown Sugar|
|2 tbsp||Green Peas||(cooked, frozen)|
|1 pouch (200 grams)||Del Monte|
Filipino Style Tomato Sauce
Combine bread and milk. Mix until bread is soggy. Combine with pork, tokwa, egg, onion and half of garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
Divide into 10 portions (about 1 1/2 Tbsp each) and form into patties. Pan-grill in oil until brown on both sides. Set aside.
Saute remaining garlic and mushrooms. Add DEL MONTE Filipino Style Tomato Sauce, water, brown sugar, patis and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and turn down to simmer for 15 minutes. Add green peas and patties. Allow to simmer.
