Pork Tonkatsu

Enjoy Japanese-style meals at home with this delicious pork tonkatsu recipe. Serve on top of a steaming bowl of rice.

Ingredients

1 kgPork Loin(sliced into 1/2 cm thick slices)
¼ cupWorcestershire Sauce(for sauce)
½ tbspGinger(grated, for sauce)
½ tbspGarlic(minced, for sauce)
2 tbspSugar(for sauce)
2 tbspMirin(for sauce)
1 pack (57 grams) Del Monte
Quick 'n Easy Breading Mix
(for frying)
½ cupDel Monte
Original Blend Ketchup
(for sauce)

Cooking Procedure:

  1. Dredge pork slices in DEL MONTE Quick N Easy Breading Mix. Fry until golden brown and then cut into strips. Serve with the Tonkatsu sauce.

  2. To make the sauce: In a pan, combine all the ingredients for the sauce and simmer over low heat, stirring occassionally for 10 minutes.

    Makes 8 servings.
