Tuna Cups

Baked sliced bread make ingenious cups to hold tuna chunks in a rich and tangy tomato sauce.

Cooking Tools Needed:


1 headGarlic(crushed)
150 gramsOnion(chopped)
3½ cupsCanned Button Mushroom(sliced)
3 cans (184 grams each)Tuna Chunks in Oil(drained)
3 bags (500 grams each)Pan Americano(or sliced bread, edges removed)
3 cupsMelting Cheese(grated)
3 pouches (250 grams each)Del Monte
Sweet Style Spaghetti Sauce

Cooking Procedure:

  1. Sauté garlic, onion and mushrooms. Add DEL MONTE Spaghetti Sauce and tuna. Simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside.

  2. Fit each bread into muffin pan. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350°F for 3 minutes. Fill each bread “cup” with 1-2 tablespoons of sautéed mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for another 3 minutes or until cheese melts.

    Makes 36 servings
